Your goose is cooked if you can’t see the fun in this clever telling of the golden goose story. We have combined humor, magic, and a popular moral into an effect the children and parents will love. Show a beautiful WI silk goose and pull from the center of the silk a, you guessed it, golden egg of the sponge variety. As the story goes, day after day the farmer would find a golden egg under the goose and so you will find one egg after another from the silk. One by one the eggs are placed in an empty basket until the farmer’s greed forces him to go medieval on the goose. Bad things happen when greed takes the place of gratitude. If the farmer had only realized not to look his gift horse in the mouth, or his goose in the end, well, in the end the farmer COULD have been overwhelmed with blessings. Your audience will say “wow” as they laugh and learn from this clever story.
